To our dear customers,

You've supported our business from day one in hopes of seeing our food systems change for the better. We originally set out to bring an entirely different type of food to the mass market and we're incredibly proud of the progress we've made, the minds we've opened and, the wonderful friends and collaborations we've made along the way.

Sadly, we're announcing the immediate closing of Coast Protein. We've left nothing on the table. Our team has given it their all and we're all proud of what we've accomplished in the last four years.

Personally, there is so much I wish I could say to each and every one of you. From the coldest late nights, hand making bars with friends; to the highs of gaining so much support from our customers and speaking in front of thousands of people on the benefits of eating crickets.

I'll leave it simply that; you took a chance on a great but crazy idea. You were there to help us try to change it all. I am confident that the edible insect market will eventually find its footing and that companies like Coast will have been proud to help 'plow the road' to eventual success.

Congratulations to Bedrock CrossFit for raising $28,000 for Easter Seals Alberta .

Coast Protein helped sponsor the event by providing energy bars to fuel their athletes who participated in their rowing marathon. Great job!

Amazing open letter from two industry leaders in the bar space today. Moving these two bars to 100% organic will set the tone and open new possibilities for small companies such as Coast.

We transitioned to organic in 2003, and think it’s the key to creating a healthier, more just and sustainable food system. Now we’re challenging KIND Bar to join us—to start using organic ingredients.
