Congratulations to the New Liskeard Lions U18 Hockey on a great season that ended with hosting the U18 A OHF Championships and making the Semi-Finals!

The New Liskeard Cubs hosted our 2025-2026 end of season banquet at the New Liskeard Golf Course on Saturday June 13th!

Players and Staff enjoyed a round a golf then were joined by the executive and parents for a delicious meal!

The Awards Recipients were:

Team MVP: Morgan Hyndman
Top Scorer: Kyle Cloutier
Top Defenseman: Ethan Roy
Playoff MVP: Ethan Ethier
Top Rookie: Morgan Hyndman
Scholastic Award: Cooper Peever
Hard Work & Ability: Emerik Bray
Most Improved: Nate Gervais
Team Spirit & Ability: Liam Major
Coaches Award: Samuel Brownlee
Cubs Bursary: Samuel Brownlee

A huge congratulations to all players, parents & family members. Our end of year banquet is always a great opportunity to look back and celebrate our achievements together!

We are wishing everyone a wonderful summer!

Congrats to Cubs Alumni Morgan Hyndman! Coming off a very impressive season that led to winning Top Goaltender of the League in the Great North U18 League Morgan Hyndman signs with the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners!

🐻2026-27 Player Announcement!

The New Liskeard Cubs are proud to welcome Chase Koostachin for the 2026-27 Season! Chase joins the Cubs after spending last season with the Islanders Hockey Club in Boston. Chase adds a physical game and scoring touch to the Cubs Lineup and will also be developing his overall game! Chase is looking forward to playing at the Shep and being apart of the organization!

We look forward to watching Chase continue his development this fall!

Les Cubs de New Liskeard sont fiers d’accueillir Chase Koostachin pour la saison 2026-2027! Chase se joint aux Cubs après avoir passé la dernière saison avec le Islanders Hockey Club de Boston. Chase apporte un style de jeu physique ainsi qu’une touche offensive à l’alignement des Cubs, tout en continuant à développer l’ensemble de son jeu! New Liskeard Cubs Cullen Fotheringham and Kohen Zubyck attended the Downtown New Liskeard BIA Community Clean-Up event with GM Alex Regele.

Thanks for organizing this event to help keep our community clean! As the GMs oldest son says "we clean up garbage so the Planet is happy"

The New Liskeard Cubs are proud to welcome Kohen Zubyck for the 2026-27 Season! Kohen joins the Cubs after spending last season with the Timmins U15 AAA program and will add skill and high IQ to the lineup while developing his overall game! Kohen is looking forward to playing back at home this season at the Shep in front of the fans!

We look forward to watching Kohen continue his development this fall!
