A little Thunder alumna update… and this one deserves some attention⚡

Lexee Anderson has officially added Texas State University to her list of NCAA Division I opportunities, receiving both an offer and scholarship opportunity for next season

That makes NINE NCAA offers to date😮‍💨🏀

Lexee still has more visits on the calendar and over the next few weeks, will be taking the time to decide where she wants to write the next chapter of her basketball career.

That decision hasn’t been made yet, and for now we’re just enjoying watching her get the recognition she has worked so hard for.

We could not be prouder watching a Thunder alum continue to represent Northern Ontario on this stage!!

Nine offers down. One decision still to come!

Girls competitive rep Thunder tryouts are coming up! 👀🏀⚡

If you’ve been thinking about giving rep basketball a try this season, here’s your little nudge.

We’re an OBA + Canada Basketball verified competitive program, practicing out of Englehart + New Liskeard and competing across Ontario (and Quebec) throughout the season.

A little reminder for our Thunder alumni heading into a very different kind of season 🫶🏼🌩️

Maybe you’re back at school. Starting college or university. Starting a new varsity season with a new team, Maybe you’re working, travelling, playing another sport, or competing away from home… or maybe this is the first September in a long time without practices, tournaments and a schedule built around basketball.

That change can feel exciting, freeing, weird, sad — sometimes all at once.

If you’re missing the routine, the team, the competition or even just having somewhere you were expected to be every night, that’s normal. Sport gives you structure, community and a huge part of your identity, so it can take time to figure out what life looks like when that changes.

Give yourself some room to do that.

Move because it feels good, not because you feel guilty. Try something new. Take a break. Join a rec league. Text your old teammates. Call your coaches. Build a routine that works for this version of you. And remember that slowing down does not erase everything you worked for.

The wins just look a little different now. 🧡

And most importantly, you don’t suddenly lose your Thunder family because the season ended.

So this definitely isn’t goodbye… it’s more like, see you at the Alumni Game in a few months 😏🏀🎄

Reminiscing on last season while planning for this one is officially in full swing 😮‍💨🏀⚡

Our first round of GIRLS tryouts dropped this week 👀 Boys program details are coming at the start of October stay tuned.

And to our athletes heading back to school, starting college or university, kicking off a new varsity season, starting work or taking on something totally new (like a year aboard) go crush it. Thunder is cheering you on from here 🧡💙

GIRLS REP TRYOUTS ⚡

The 2026–27 season starts here👇

Tryouts are set for our U14 (or U13) Girls and U17 Girls competitive rep travel teams this September, with sessions hosted in both New Liskeard at TDSS and Englehart at EHS.

Players must attend at least 2 of the 3 tryout sessions to be eligible for a roster spot. Each team can carry up to 15 athletes, and our rep teams compete across Ontario throughout the season.

All interested athletes must complete our Rep Interest Form before tryouts.

Girls dates are officially set. More details on our Boys Rep season are coming soon.

Whether you’re coming back for another season, making the jump from Youth League, or trying competitive basketball for the first time—we’d love to hear from you. 👀

🏀 Grades 4–12 – This form helps us determine which age groups we can host this season.
📍 Practices in Englehart & New Liskeard to help support families across Northern Ontario.
🚗 Travel across Ontario to compete against some of the province’s best teams.
👕 Gear up in custom Thunder apparel from brands like Lululemon and Under Armour.
💙 Join athletes from ESCSM, EHS, TDSS, and KLDCS
