⛳ What does a $10,000 Hole-in-One feel like? Ask Nick Trainor! 💥

It was another fun Men's Night in August when Nick Trainor teed off on Hole 7. 165 yards out, it's a familiar par 3 to our members and regulars, but on this day, sponsored by our friends at PEI Brewing Company, an ace came with not only bragging rights but a cool $10,000 prize.

🎯 Back to Nick on the tee deck. "It looked good the whole way, but in those moments you never expect it to go in," says Nick. "We couldn't see the hole, so my dad was actually the one who thought it went in. I thought I might be lucky to get closest to the pin!" Well you can't get much closer to the pin than that! What a moment for everyone!

We're so fortunate to have Josh on the team! 🙌

Josh has spent the past 10 years in the golf industry, including the last five as the Golf Professional at Glasgow Hills Golf Club.

He started as a pro shop attendant, but it didn't take long to realize he wanted to build a career in the game.

After more than 20 years of golfing himself, Josh says it's the people that keep him coming back. From returning members and visitors to the team he works with, the friendships are what make the industry so rewarding. 🥰

His advice for new golfers? Start with a lesson, start with an affordable set of clubs, and play with someone who knows the game. Your swing will change, so there's no need to spend big right away.

Planning a golf trip to PEI? Josh says make golf a priority. You're never far from a great course... but Glasgow Hills should definitely be on your list. 😉

We'll be celebrating Josh and the many other Islanders who help make PEI Canada's Golf Island on Thursday, October 8.
