THE VILLAGE PEOPLE — KIRSTEN VAN HORNE 🏔️

From a shy Grade 11 kid working at the Ski Hut to heading to RedBull Rampage.
Kirsten started here learning to bootfit, finding her community, and saving for her first proper ski setup. Not long after, she found mountain biking — and the rest is history! 🤫

Now she’s heading to RedBull Rampage Red Bull Bike, with all of us at the Ski Hut cheering her on from Nelson - a pretty special full-circle moment ⭕️

The Village People is a new series celebrating the people who have made the Ski Hut what it is. Over the coming winter, we’ll be sharing the stories, characters and connections that have shaped this shop and the community around it.

It is with a heavy heart that we wave goodbye to our media star, Emma 🌟

She is moving on to a new chapter working with Nelson Brewing Company and we are beyond the moon excited for her! We wish her all the best for this new adventure

Going forwards, Zak, one of our resident bootfitters will be taking over the media side of VSH, and ohhhh are we going to have some fun! 🤩
