Nelson friends! Come join Misa Luding, myself and Frontier Athletics for the run like a mother event on Saturday May 11th. This is a great opportunity to get some activity in while supporting a good cause at the same time. It’s also a fun way to connect with the community.

There are 5km, 10km and even 21km options making this event open for all fitness levels. If that sounds like too much, you can always run/walk.

This is why goal setting and visualization is so powerful. It provides clarity to us along the path to achievement. Whether it be fitness, finance or relationship goals, Intentions are not enough if we don’t know where we are going to begin with.

Over the past two months I’ve been given the opportunity to coach in preparation for the competitive season. The group of young athletes has been working extra hard, day in and day out! This past weekend they competed in invermere for the zone finals and our very own and placed first on the podium. I am very proud of them and the rest of the team for their showing!

Why I coach:

Being a coach is a joy for me. Everyday I get to wake up and make an impact on countless lives while having fun at the same time.

We live in an era where sedentary living has become the norm and with that comes the degradation of our mental and physical health.

I believe exercise and the pursuit of physical excellence is one of the most effective ways to make serious and immediate change in one’s life. It can help us to gain control over our circumstances and realize the power we possess.

Coaches can be the bridge between unhappy and unhealthy towards exhuberance. I love that I get to help others facilitate that in theirs lives.

Adequate sleep helps regulate appetite and metabolism, reduces cravings for unhealthy foods, and can even increase the effectiveness of your workouts. So, make sure you're getting enough rest – your body (and waistline) will thank you! "
