Here is the Junior .22 Program schedule for the next few months:

Saturday, September 5th: 11 am to 2 pm
Saturday, September 26th: 11 am to 2 pm
Saturday, October 10th: 11 am to 2 pm
Saturday, October 24th: 11 am to 2pm
Saturday, November 7th: 11 am to 2 pm
Saturday, November 21st: 11 am to 2 pm

Open to all under 18—no experience needed. Spectators are welcome. Please check in before attending a session.

Indoor Air Gun Range Update – Fall Schedule

After a much-needed summer break, Wednesday Air Gun Nights will reopen for members and the public on September 9. The Tuesday Precision Air Gun program continues as normal throughout the fall.

Weekly Schedule

Wednesday Nights (6–8 pm): Air Gun Night — Reopening September 9; Tuesday Nights (6–8 pm): Precision Air Gun — Ongoing weekly program

Regular Information
Our indoor air gun range offers a fun, safe environment to learn gun safety, build confidence, and develop your marksmanship.

Fees

NFG Members: Included with membership Non-members: $20 drop-in fee

Rules

Air guns must be sub-500 fps Must use .177 flathead pellets Shooters may bring their own air guns that meet these standards

Range Specs
10-meter distance • 6 shooting stations • Electric target returns

🌲 Wild Kidz Summer Camp was one unforgettable week!
Twenty five kids spent five incredible days learning survival skills, archery, fishing, wetlands, raptors, and so much more.
By the end of camp, knowledge scores had climbed from 64% to 90%, and Range Day earned top honors as the campers' favorite activity.
A huge thank you to the BC Wildlife Federation Youth Team, our amazing club volunteers, and the families who supported the campers throughout the week.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out for our work party yesterday! 🏹💚 We had an amazing turnout of volunteers building and stuffing target boxes to help get archery ready for the new field. Your time and hard work are what make this happen!

FALL 2026 C.O.R.E. HUNTING COURSE

Canadian Outdoor Recreational Education (C.O.R.E.)
📅 Course Dates: September 12–13, 2026
📍 Location: Nanaimo Fish & Game Protective Association
1325 Nanaimo Lakes Rd., Nanaimo, B.C.
⏰ Time: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
💰 Course Cost: $200

Course Information
Students are responsible for all BCWF administration fees.
Lunch break will be 45 minutes. Please bring drinks and snacks as needed.
Cell phones must be turned off or on silent during the course.
C.O.R.E. manuals are available for purchase at Gone Fishin’ for $39.97 plus tax.
Bring a notepad and pen for taking notes.
A Hunting & Trapping Regulations Synopsis will be provided for test purposes. It may not be written on or written in.

Testing Requirements
Written Examination: Minimum passing grade of 75%
Practical Fi****ms Handling Test: Minimum score of 23 out of 30

Help us build the future of archery at the Nanaimo Fish & Game Protective Association!

We're looking for volunteers to join us for a Work Party on Tuesday, August 11, starting at 9:00 a.m.

We'll be building and stuffing new target boxes that will allow our Archery Division to move to its new field. No special skills are required. Just bring a willingness to lend a hand. Every bit of help makes a difference.

Many hands make light work, and we'd love to see you there. Thank you for supporting your club!

Range Orientation for Women

Bring $30 in coin for the evening's shooting activities
Bring ear protection and eye protection.

Our popular Range Nights for Ladies are back this summer!

All women welcome. No experience or gun license is required.

Come find out how to get your fi****ms license (PAL).

And try your hand at shooting rifles, shotguns, handguns, mini-rifles and air-rifles.

You will be supported all the way by our excellent fi****ms instructors.
