Congratulations to all the athletes and special shout out to Tessa Bell (U18) who scored the BC Team qualifying standard in the U20 heptathlon. Great start to the season! Congratulations Tessa Bell!! Tessa is coming home from the Canadian Indoor Track & Field Championships in Toronto with a GOLD in U18 Pentathlon and a SILVER in the Long Jump!!! Not only did she get a personal best in 3 of her pentathlon events but she also broke the championship record in the individual long jump competition. What a blazing start to her 2026 season🔥🔥 Well done, we’re so proud of you!!

On the night of February 8, a fire destroyed the NTFC pole vault mats (just replaced last season!), shed and standards. This is a huge blow to our pole vault program, our athletes, and the club’s ability to host pole vault at upcoming spring competitions. Needless to say, we are devastated.
If anyone has any information relating to this incident, please contact the RCMP.

Attention high school athletes, club parents, educators and aspiring coaches! The purpose of the RJTW Instructor course is to teach the fundamental movement skills for running, jumping, throwing and wheeling (for children in a wheelchair). The course will introduce track and field events through games and activities that promote learning and progressions for skill development. These skills build a strong foundation for all sports, and will support physical literacy in kids long-term.
Date: March 1st
Time: 9am-5pm
Cost: Free for all BC Athletics members

Another great trip to the Harry Jerome Indoor Games at the Richmond Oval with a small group of coaches, high school and Masters athletes. The team set some fine early season benchmarks to motivate each of them for the spring season ahead - well done everyone! Thank you and .athletics officials for the opportunity to compete at this time of year 🤩

Congratulations to all the JD athletes receiving their Gold, Silver and Bronze JD Crests at our 2025 NTFC Awards Banquet! It was a great night of celebrating the 2025 season and the athletes, coaches, BOD, officials and families who made it happen. Amazing turnout of 200+! So great to see everyone!
