Time for some member spotlight! I am so proud of what Marshall has accomplished in such a short period of time. There's no stopping him now! What would I do without your witty sarcasm?
"My name is Marshall; I am a serial moaner and would rather stick pins in my eyes than exercise. In my younger years I smoked, worked long hours, and ate and drank too much. In fact, I still drink more than I should. I am now in my senior years and if I knew that I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself.
Life creeps up on you, in my case overweight; high blood pressure no flexibility and debilitating painful arthritis. It was time to get a grip on my life.
My wife, who has been exercising for a number of years, suggested that I should meet with her trainer Dallyn Giroux. As skeptical as I was, I agreed to undertake a controlled exercise program designed to work on my flexibility, posture and combat the onset of arthritis.
Dallyn has brought about a major change in my lifestyle, in the six+ months that I have worked with her I have lost thirty lbs, improved my flexibility, improved my posture, and my doctor has taken me off medication to control blood pressure. Even better -my golf game has improved.
I have come a long way in a short time gently but forcefully guided by Dallyn. I have been pulled often kicking and screaming to perform exercise that six months ago was just not attainable. I owe her a debt of gratitude for my good health which is truly down to her skill as a personal trainer.
So, have I put away the pins? Largely, in recognition that regular exercise is vital for seniors if you want to have mobility for a lifetime, but I know where we keep them."
