While the golfers were preparing for the Women's Amateur Championship, our kitchen team was hard at work preparing individual charcuterie skewers for the event.

It's the little details that often go unnoticed, but they play a big role in creating a great experience for players, volunteers, and guests.

❌ Myth: "Keep your head down."

This might be one of the most common pieces of golf advice - and one of the most misunderstood.

Many golfers try so hard to keep their head down that they restrict their natural body movement, making it difficult to rotate properly through the ball. Over time, this can even lead to unnecessary strain on the neck and back.

✅ The Reality:

Keep your eyes on the ball through impact.
Maintain your posture.
Allow your body to rotate naturally toward the target.
Finish your swing in balance.

The golf swing is an athletic movement. Your body is designed to move, turn, and flow - not stay locked in place.

💡 Sometimes the best improvement comes from unlearning old advice.

Ever wondered what’s happening beneath the surface of our greens?

What you’re seeing here is the result of years of proper aeration practices. Those visible sand channels help water move efficiently through the soil profile while giving roots the oxygen they need to thrive.

It’s one of the key reasons our greens stay firm, healthy, and playable throughout the season 👏

☀️🍹 Patio season at NGC just got even better.

Members have been loving the new patio umbrellas and updated patio furniture on the deck - now complete with built-in lighting for those long spring and summer evenings 👏

Our Food & Beverage team even took a moment to test things out themselves and show off the refreshed space 😄

Whether it’s a post-round catch-up, a quiet drink with friends, or simply taking in the view, the updated patio area has quickly become a favourite gathering spot around the club.

Big thanks to the Food & Beverage team for continuing to create a welcoming atmosphere for members and their guests.

Now… we can’t fully explain the bubble wrap hat 🤔
But we can confirm it’s not part of the standard kitchen uniform.
