Most people only celebrate the dream.

They don't see the cost of chasing it.

I've invested $87, 000 into building my coaching business.

Four years of learning.
Evenings and weekends working.
Saying no to friends.
Hundreds of hours.
Money spent on coaching and mentorship instead of travel or a newer car.

And to show for it… about $2,000 in revenue and one consistent coaching client

Is it frustrating? Absolutely.

Have I thought about burning it all down? Almost every day.

But I'm still here.

Because somewhere along the way, I realized this isn't just about building a business.

I care deeply about this work. And I want to find out what's possible.

So onwards I go.

I could spend this week focusing on how badly my heart hurts and wishing the timing were different.

Instead, I’m choosing to stay open to the women I’ll meet, what I’ll learn, and what this next chapter might bring.

Growth doesn’t mean pretending something isn’t hard. It means staying open to what else could be true at the same time ❤️

This video was uncomfortable to make, and it feels vulnerable to share because it’s something I’m walking myself through right now.

And while the grief comes in waves, for the first time I feel like I’ll be able to move through this pain with a sense that I’m doing the right thing for me, and ultimately for both of us.

I’ve grown and changed more in this relationship than I have in any relationship before it. And while it wasn’t easy, I’ll always be grateful for that, and for him.

I think that’s what makes this feel different. There’s still a lot of sadness, uncertainty and fear, but underneath it all is a sense of being there for myself in a way I haven’t experienced before.

I don’t know what’s going to happen next. But I trust myself to figure it out.

I thought giving up people-pleasing meant learning to say no like you meant it.

Turns out, there’s a bit more to it than that...

1. Noticing the pattern
Finally realizing that you keep doing things you don’t actually want to do.

2. Taking action and setting boundaries
Then wondering if you’ve suddenly become the meanest person alive. 😂

3. The whiplash of uncertainty and fear
"Wait, what happens to my relationships if I stop being so accommodating?"

4. Doing the deeper work
"Why did I believe that being helpful, agreeable and needed is how I could earn worth?"

5. Tuning into yourself
"What do I actually want? What do I actually think?"

6. Finding balance
Not saying yes to everything. Not saying no to everything. Just learning to decide what’s actually right for you.

Okay, hear me out… cause I actually don’t think jealousy is a “bad” emotion. 😂

Like every so-called "negative emotion", it can give us some really useful information if we’re willing to slow down for a moment.

We all have different parts of us, and sometimes jealousy shows up. That doesn’t mean we need to shame it, get rid of it, or pretend we don’t feel it.

Instead, I like to ask myself 3 things:

1. What am I actually jealous of?

2. What am I making this mean about me?

3. What is this feeling asking me to pay attention to?

By the end of that, I can often even feel grateful to the jealous part cause now I have information and I get to decide what I want to do with it.

So instead of making jealousy wrong, see if you can listen to it, learn from it, and let it point you toward something that matters.

Save this for the next time you feel that little ugh and see if you can get curious instead ❤️

10 years ago, I was a new physio feeling overwhelmed and generally unsure of myself.

I spent the last 10 years learning, growing, doing a lot of personal development to figure out who I was. And as I did, I slowly learned to trust myself and create a life that actually felt like my own.

I never would’ve thought that one day I’d own my own business, branch out into coaching, and get to support women as they move towards dreams they might not even feel ready to believe in yet.

If I could go back and tell that old version of me what my life would look like now, she probably would’ve laughed. 😂

But maybe that’s the point, because we have nooo idea what’s possible from where we are right now.

Your life can become something you never could’ve imagined and you’re absolutely worthy of the big dreams you have (or don’t yet have)!

If you want to stop looking outside yourself for approval, do the messy work of figuring out who you actually are.

If you want to feel more at home in yourself, do the messy work of figuring out who you actually are.

If you want to make decisions from what you actually want instead of what you think you *should* want, do the messy work of figuring out who you actually are.

If you want to stop constantly questioning whether you're doing life "right," do the messy work of figuring out who you actually are.

If you want to feel more calm, energized and alive in your own life, do the messy work of figuring out who you actually are.

If you want to feel like you're actually in the driver's seat of your life, do the messy work of figuring out who you actually are.

I used to be really good at convincing myself that I could always squeeze in a workout or other self-care later in the day...

But once I started noticing how much better my energy and mood was when I actually followed through at the start of my day, getting up became less about discipline and more about keeping the commitments I make to myself.

And honestly, that feels a lot better than a frantic morning! 😆

Anyone else?

I used to think that if I looked a certain way, was unfailingly nice, and edited what I said, people would like me.

But I realized that the identities we take on and the masks we wear actually end up creating more distance from the people around us, the very people we *want* to feel connected with.

I had to start asking myself, what am I actually accomplishing by trying so hard?

Because honestly, life is way more fun when you stop trying so hard to be liked and start accepting yourself for who you are.

It's definitely a work in progress, but when sweaty, happy, unpolished me comes out, I feel like I'm getting closer.
