Morris Motorsports

Morris Motorsports We are a family race team located in London, Ontario. Our home track is Delaware Speedway, however, we also run at other tracks around the Ontario area.

We are a father and son racing team located in London, Ontario. We currently race a 2009 Cobalt 2.2 ecotec in the purestock/bonestock division, a 2006 Cobalt SS ministock and a 2006 Cobalt SS in the bone stock/purestock division. We are also currently working on a superstock...

Jordan Morris (aka mayhem Morris) is the wheel man of the car and I (dad) am the fabricator. We are fortunate enough to

be supported by wonderful family and great sponsors who keep us on the track and allow us to keep loving what we do!

WARNING: this is a little bit of a lengthy post...

Unfortunately, three weeks ago we were tangled up in a crappy racing deal which as you all know, completely destroyed our racecar.

Luckily, when something bad happens, this awesome racing community comes together and shows their support! With the kind support of a few amazing partners, we were able to secure enough funds to purchase a new race car from Shawn Mcglynn.

These past few weeks have been a STRUGGLE! It seemed like every 20 minute job hung us up for hours, but thanks to our hard working crew and our selfless support system - we did not quit!

I truly wish that I could name every single person that laid a hand on this new car, offered advice, and donated or supplied us with parts. It's wild that we wrecked on Friday night and by Sunday afternoon, we had the new car loaded up in the trailer and en route back home - where the real excitement began! Just to add to our chaos, shortly after we left Guelph, the rear end in the truck blew a pinion seal and oil leaked down the side of the truck and trailer. However, being close to 1 AM, we couldn’t stop to deal with it. We put the old 2500 to the test and slowly puttered home. The next day, the car was unloaded and the progress began.

This team has worked every single hour they could on this thing and put in crazy long days (and nights!) to try and get us ready to roll again.

Unfortunately, we missed the Friday night racing following our on track incident because our engine wasn’t done yet. Thankfully, our good friend Kaden Patrick pulled the #86 off his car and rebranded it with our #73 to keep us in the points race. The following two weeks were an EVERY DAY adventure while continuing our mad dash to get this baby ready for the next Friday night.

Then the day finally arrived and we were able to make it to Delaware Speedway. After we unloaded the car, we were bombarded with curious onlookers, many of which were thoroughly impressed that we had returned this season.

PRACTICE:
Our first practice was a true shakedown (especially only having driven the car less than a block to make sure the clutch and transmission were good). To be honest, I struggled a lot trying to adapt to the new machine. With some frustration, we made it through the first practice and dealt with some carb issues - but soon enough the gang had it all figured out.

HEAT RACE:
When the heat race rolled around, we were still trying to adapt to the way this new car handles! This thing is like a radical go kart with horsepower, while the old car was like driving a fishing boat.

FEATURE:
We rolled off 12th with a car that handled very well! We managed to get the car up to 6th by just tucking in line with Mr. Stewart - we continued to set pace and before we knew it, we were right in the mix at the end of the race. We made a few passes, had a couple minor bumps but managed to compete for the win! Unfortunately, we came up a hair short - but for everything this team has been through, our first night back in the saddle WAS A WIN!

Again, I cannot thank every single person on this team - first and foremost, my wife for supporting our long nights in the shop, our parents for the utmost support in trying to keep our spirits up and to our incredible team and the best partners a guy could ask for! Whether these sponsors are named on the car or just silent partners, it truly means so much to us! Thank you for allowing this guy to have fun on Friday nights!

Without all of you my season would have come to an end - so cheers to all of you. Let's finish this 2026 season out strong!! ✌️

While we figure out our next plan of attack, we decided to hire the next young gun because this old fella is washed up! Kaden is doing us a huge favour and attempting to keep us in the points race this weekend.

The amount of work this kid has put into helping us out this season is crazy - he never stops! 💨

Goodluck tomorrow night sir! 👏

RACE DAY TOMORROW!

It’s race day at Delaware Speedway, and we’ve got a little something different happening in the Patrick camp!

Brendan will be back behind the wheel of the Super Stock, ready to keep chasing speed.

Kaden is dusting off his V8 Stock skills and jumping in to help out a fellow competitor!

That’s one of the things we love about racing. The racing community is like family. When someone needs a hand, you help. When a fellow competitor needs a driver, you step up. The competition is fierce on the track, but there’s always a willingness to support each other off it.

Take a close look at that number…

Can you guess who Kaden is driving for tomorrow?

Come out to Delaware Speedway and find out!

Well, to say we are defeated is a total understatement. What started out as an exciting day with the car finally back under it's own power (and a heat win) turned into an evening of complete chaos.

I don’t fault anyone for the incident that occurred on the track last night. It was honestly just a racing deal and we, unfortunately, caught the s**t end of the stick! 😬

I have to thank all my guys for their dedication and hard work over the last few weeks of total mayhem. And our sponsors, friends, family and fans who have checked in with dad, Cassie and myself... I am stiff today, but doing alright!

A final thank you to the Delaware Speedway medical staff for their superior service in ensuring my safety.

As of right now, we are unsure of what our plan of attack is or what we will do moving forward. I guess time and seeing what kind of funds we can come up with will tell the tale...

Stay tuned ❤️ 🤍 🖤
