Congratulations to Gander Collegiate on a great showing at the recent NL Athletics Provincial Championships!

Congratulations to the Track and Field team on their strong showing at the NLAA Provincial Meet this past weekend. The boys team had a lot of new members but still secured several top 10 finishes and finished 4th overall in the team standings with 566 points. The girls team was in a three team race for the team banner but fell just 27 points short and finished in 3rd place with a total of 818 points. The individual award winners included Rae Gosse with 2 gold and a silver, Addison Ash with 2 silver and a bronze, Myah Banfield with a gold and a silver and Sarah Vivian with a bronze. The girls relay team (Myah Banfield, Cate Vivian, Sarah Vivian and Rachel Hiscock) ended the meet with a Bronze Medal in the 4x100m Relay. A special thank you to the coaches (Pam O'Keefe, Reagan Croy, Murray Fudge) and teacher sponsor (Erin Vivian). Way to go GC!!!!!!!

Congratulations to our very own Amelia Bazeley on this astonishing achievement!

Congratulations to Amelia Bazeley, age 13, on an extraordinary achievement at the Brooks PR Invitational in Seattle on June 7, 2026.

Amelia set a new provincial record of 4:45.74 in the mile race, surpassing all existing NLAA records — U16, U18, U20, and Senior.

This is a remarkable milestone for such a young athlete and a proud moment for the Newfoundland & Labrador track and field community.
Well done, Amelia — your hard work and talent continue to inspire.

What a performance by the Corner Brook Regional High School team! It was a pleasure to host them at our facility. Our coaches and volunteers were impressed by their skill, effort, and positivity.

Way to go Titans, I'm sure we will see some of you on your own turf at the NL Summer Games 2026 in August!

We are excited to announce that our Frame Runners have arrived! This specialized equipment will be used to support a broader range of athletes in our outreach, practice, and competition activities.
They will be available for the general public to try at lunch time on Saturday June 6, during the High School Provincials being held at our track.

Congrats to all the Pearlgate Run Jump Throw Wheel athletes who competed at Track Fest on Saturday, May 30th! Too many personal bests to count; we are very proud of you all!

Thanks also to all the Pearlgate athletes, coaches, board members, and family members who volunteered to make it a success.

Registration is now open for the first Pearlgate Twilight meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday June 2nd.

There will be 200 m, 400 m and 800 m races, as well as Long Jump.
