The Mount Pearl Blades believe that hockey is for everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, background, or ability. The rink should be a place where athletes, fans, volunteers, and families feel respected, supported, and accepted.

Well, our final overager.

It's time to bid farewell to our Captain. From the very beginning, Evan carried himself with a kind of quiet strength that made everyone around you feel safe, supported, and seen. Patient in moments of frustration, caring in moments when people needed it most, loving and hardworking in ways that often went unnoticed by everyone except the people lucky enough to experience it firsthand.

Never just focused on the scoreboard, and somehow always knowing exactly what to say to make things feel okay again. Evan gave this team so much more than hockey. He gave people comfort, confidence, memories, and a sense of family.

Braedy Walsh is the definition of leadership, heart, and determination.

This season, he showed what it truly means to lead - not just with his words, but through your actions every single day. Your work ethic, commitment to your team, and ability to lift up the people around you never went unnoticed. Whether the game was on the line or the team needed someone to step up, you were always there.

Having an A is about more than wearing a letter; it’s about earning the respect of your teammates through dedication, character, and consistency and you did exactly that. The younger players looked up to you, your teammates trusted you, and your passion for the game inspired everyone around you.

No matter where life takes you next, there’s no doubt you’ll continue to lead with the same strength and determination that made such an impact here.
