Big congratulations to one of our own, Dave Jiggins, on an outstanding achievement -- New Harmony River has earned the CKC Top Field Beagle Award for 2025!
This achievement speaks to the complete hound. River has proven she has consistency, drive and that extra gear when it counts.

Reminder: there is no running at the club until after our trial on April 18th. Hope to see a good turnout and get the season off to a great start.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend and fellow club member, Mike Corner.

Mike will be sadly missed by our beagle community. The time spent together in the field, the laughter, and the shared love of our hounds will always be remembered.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.

Spring Work Party & General Meeting Notice

It’s that time of year again to spruce things up before our first trial of the season!

A work party is scheduled for April 11th starting at 9:00 AM, with a general meeting to follow.

We’ll be focusing on clearing paths and repairing sections of the fence line to get everything in top shape. Many hands make light work, so your help is greatly appreciated!

We look forward to seeing everyone there.

Well… it looks like Mother Nature has finally decided to cooperate! With the weather turning, it’s time to dust off the boots, get the hounds off the couch, and start getting everyone back into shape for the upcoming trial season. 🐾
The ultimate goal, of course, is the one we’re all chasing… Hound of the Year! So it’s time for early mornings, lots of running, and maybe a little less “winter fluff” on both hounds and handlers.
Be sure to mark your calendars for our CKC sanctioned trials:
• April 18 – Elgin County
• May 23 – Elgin County
• May 30 – Thames Valley
• October 17 – Thames Valley
• November 21 – Elgin County
• November 28 – Thames Valley
We will also be announcing a Derby / Kids Fun Day soon — date pending — so stay tuned for that!
Whether you’re chasing Hound of the Year or just enjoying a good day in the field with great people and great dogs, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic year. See you at the trials!
