🌽 WORK BEE & GENERAL MEETING — AUGUST 22 🌽

Join us on Saturday, August 22, starting at 9:00 a.m. for our work bee and general meeting!

Our main focus will be clearing the paths, as we have many trees down from the recent storms. 🌳 We’ll need as many helping hands as possible to get things cleaned up and accessible again.

🛠️ Bring any equipment or tools you may need to help with the cleanup.

🍔 Lunch will be provided! We’ll be serving hamburgers and fresh corn on the cob. 🌽

Participation is encouraged and greatly appreciated! Every helping hand makes a difference. Come out, get some work done, enjoy a good lunch, and catch up with everyone.

Celebration of Life for Mike Corner,
our friend and longtime Elgin County Beagle Club member.

Mike was a dedicated beagler who had a deep love for his dogs and greatly valued the friendships and camaraderie that came with the sport. He was a familiar face at club events and hunts, and his passion for beagling and the people involved will be remembered by all who knew him.

Friends, family, and fellow beaglers are invited to gather, share memories, and honor Mike’s life.

2nd field trial of the season is in the books! The weather didn’t exactly cooperate, but the rabbits had no problem giving the dogs a good chase. 🐇🐶

A huge shoutout to all of our club members who volunteer their time and resources to make this such a special club. From those who keep the clubhouse and grounds looking amazing, to the food preparers, judges, and field marshals — thank you. And of course, thank you to all the handlers who came out with their dogs and made the day possible.

Rain or shine, it’s the people (and dogs!) that make this club what it is.

Big congratulations to one of our own, Dave Jiggins, on an outstanding achievement -- New Harmony River has earned the CKC Top Field Beagle Award for 2025!
This achievement speaks to the complete hound. River has proven she has consistency, drive and that extra gear when it counts.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our friend and fellow club member, Mike Corner.

Mike will be sadly missed by our beagle community. The time spent together in the field, the laughter, and the shared love of our hounds will always be remembered.

Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.
