HOUSE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT IN WILLIAMSBURG A HUGE SUCCESS. This past weekend saw 11U SHLB teams compete in Williamsburg in a first-of-its-kind SHLB tournament. The weather was perfect for the 8 HL teams that participated. We had 2 pools of 4 teams in round robin format, so everyone got 3 games and then a consolation final and a championship final for the top 4 teams.

In the end, it was North Dundas Sox 15-9 over the North Dundas Flyers for the Championship Final, and it was the North Grenville Comets over the South Dundas Pioneers 9-8 for the Consolation Championship.

We also had a canteen and all the proceeds went to a family from Williamsburg to help assist with medical expenses for an upcoming treatment only possible in Mexico for their 10 year old son.

Congrats to everyone who participated and thanks to the organizers for all of their hard work!

As a parent/guardian, please make sure that your player arrives at the field in appropriate clothing and with lots of water/Gatorade, etc. Please pay particular attention to the signs of dehydration and heat stroke, especially with our youngest players.

RALLYCAPPERS TAKE TO THE DIAMONDS. A few photos from Rally Cap action last night in South Dundas and South Grenville. In Morrisburg over 100 players, ages 4 to 7 took to the field to have fun and learn about baseball. Our new Rally Cap program in South Grenville is smaller but no less enthusiastic.

A huge shout out to all of the volunteers that are making Rally Cap a huge success in these areas.

WANTED: RALLYCAP AND 9U PLAYERS IN METCALFE/GREELY. The Seaway House League Baseball program is looking for a few more players to round out our RallyCap Introduction to Baseball (4 to 7 years old) and 9U (8 and 9 years old) teams to play at Andy Shields Park. The RallyCap program runs Monday evenings and 9U home game nights are Tuesday. There are already sixteen 9U teams in the SHLB circuit so lots of competition with very little travel involved.

RALLY CAP MOMS & DADS. As we approach the start of the season you might be wondering what you need to provide for your son and/or daughter this Rally Cap season. Here's the list:

- Baseball fielder's glove
- CSA approved batter's helmet
- Shorts and socks
- Running shoes
- Water bottle

The Surge will provide a Rally Cap t-shirt and ball cap.
