Rick and Jim jumped (well... slowly edged...) into the water today. We're pretty sure it's in the safe, if not particularly toasty, realm of 12C/54F... all to check conditions before heading out with Rick's first Open Water class of the season. Have fun, gentlemen! We had a blast on our final BBQ and Dive Day! The temperature slid down but the sun came out and we lit a fire to keep toasty. Thanks to all who attended - divers and vehicles everywhere, stories galore about the state of the current and the (rotten) visibility following the rains. It was a tough day to keep track of one's buddies! Oh, and the weeds! SO MANY WEEDS!!

It was a crazy kind of summer with the extreme heat, then extreme rain, over and over and over. I guess we'll see if it's the face of the future but whatever comes, we'll be ready for it. Have a great off-season, everyone!

Well. The storm's timing was off a bit on Wednesday and caught us at the end of our dives. We just moved into the garage and Larry set up an umbrella-transport-to-the-barbecue system. A lot of sopping gear left us later on!

It was hard canceling our dive evening today... but 6 hours later I'm still watching drenching rain and listening to rum...
