Larry and I saw THIS in the Rapide Plat Lock today. What the heck is it... and how are we going to get rid of it? It is fairly flexible and wiggled around when Larry was shoving it.
Thoughts??

Also. Visibility was just as good as it looks here. 20 feet.

This fearsome four has been out in the river quite a bit already. Today they were at Lock 23 and tell me it's good to go! 14C (57F), no weeds, "not great" viz, average current & travel through the locks, wicked current at the ferry dock road.

Just 10 days to our start date!

It's March, the start of earnest Lock 23 dive thoughts! Today is cold. -24 cold. And windy. With a river completely obscured by snow. But WE'RE CERTAIN that Lock 23 is still there. See you in the spring!

Rick and Jim jumped (well... slowly edged...) into the water today. We're pretty sure it's in the safe, if not particularly toasty, realm of 12C/54F... all to check conditions before heading out with Rick's first Open Water class of the season. Have fun, gentlemen! It's 3 weeks today until our first Scuba Palace evening!

It's a balmy 8C/46F water temp today... so we've got a few weeks to wait. Counting the days to June 18!
