It’s race day with the Northern Late Model Racing Association at Dead Horse Creek Speedway. We snuck up here last night and hung onto a 3rd place finish in the feature. We will give it another shot tonight. The crew has the track looking great already.

Colin will have bmod action tonight at Devils Lake Speedway as well.

Howie Schill Memorial update from last night. Crystal and I made the trek to Fargo and with my draw window luck put me on the back row of a 8 car heat race with 37 late models in attendance. Those were my first laps on that track ever and things went pretty well ending 4th and almost had 3rd but we made the show out of the heat race so that was the goal. That put us starting 16th in the 34 lap feature. After all 34 laps went caution free we ended up falling back to 23rd but overall it was a great experience and I am happy to have made the show in such a tough field of cars. We will be taking tonight off with the late model and back at NLRA racing next weekend.

Weekend update.

This week we raced 3 nights so it was a busy one and I have to say this sport will test you in ways you wouldn’t imagine but give you rewards equal if you keep your eyes open.

Thursday night I ran the late model in Ada with the NLRA starting P22 and ending P14 so we were headed in the right direction.

Friday night we raced both cars at RCS. I started P11 and ended P7 again going the right direction. I think we might have found a setup to build off of. Now to work on the driver a bit. Colin ran the bmod starting P11 ending P10 keeping the car clean and straight.

Last night Colin raced the bmod in Devils lake at the Golden Hammer Classic with 35 entries and almost all of them very fast cars. After a couple strong heat races he landed in a b-main just falling short of a transfer position but he took home a lot of experience from last night that will help him.

Our double-double weekend update. Two cars two nights. It was a hot one.

Friday night RCS I continued by setup search but felt like I was headed in the right direction even though the results didn’t show. We finished at the back of the field in both races. Colin put in some consistent laps in the bmod adding some more speed.

Last night at Devils Lake Speedway I made a couple more small adjustments and the car felt pretty good. We ended up 2nd in our heat race and started front row of the feature. Unfortunately I had some carb issues that became an issue at the start of that race and I decided I needed to pull off to save the engine. In the bmod Colin put in some more solid laps and was asking for some more gear in the car so we might have to try give him a bit more speed.

Next week we are off to Morden, MB for another NLRA race and bmod action at Devils Lake again.

Also we had some visitors last night at the track after the races for my nephew Luke’s birthday. It was fun to see that many kids at the track having fun!

A quick update from last Thursday nights show at RCS. In the late model I had another night of hunting for that setup combination I’m seeking every time I hit the track. We started 20th in the feature and were 14th at the checkered. Colin was putting in some good laps in the bmod until he had a mechanical issue with the driveshaft that parked him for the remainder of the race but no real damage to either car so we can prep them and get back to racing this week. Next up is Friday night at River Cities Speedway.

I’d like to extend a thank you to all of our race day supporters that helped us out making it a huge success! And also to TRX Custom Graphix for getting us hooked up with the updated sticker! We couldn’t do it without all the support.

We do still have a few NLRA calendars available if anybody else wants to get in on it.

Weekend update: Colin and myself took advantage of an off weekend for tue NLRA and went fishing.

Our next race will be Thursday night at River Cities Speedway then headed to the lake for our 250th.

The event the Late Model drivers have marked on the calander all year long. The 8th Annual NLRA Golden Hammer Classic. 40 laps the distance for a $5,000 to win Payday. This Saturday June 13th 2026.

Results from last nights Northern Late Model Racing Association show at Devils Lake Speedway. I definitely had great starting spots for both races with starting P1 in each. The heat race I ended up P2 and P8 in the feature. I ended up missing my marks a couple times and I learned that will cost you position with that group but overall a solid top 10 finish with that group was great. Colin Dietzler continued making improvements and getting more laps in the bmod. He improves each time he’s on the track and it won’t be long before he’s mixing it up. Thanks to everybody that came out to support us last night. There were way more people there for us than we ever expected. Also a huge thanks to Maverick Seidel , Travis LaPlante and Mike Myers for helping us with the cars all night. Two cars is a lot of work. Next up is another NLRA show on Friday night at River Cities Speedway.
