Souvenir des années où le lanceur légendaire Darren Zack portait les couleurs du Québec !!!
🥎 ON THIS DAY — AUGUST 28, 2011 🥎
THE LEGEND WAS STILL DEALING. 🔥
On this day in 2011, one of the greatest pitchers to ever step inside the circle showed that he still had plenty left in the tank.
At the Canadian Senior Men’s Fastpitch Championship in Owen Sound, Ontario, Darren Zack took the ball for Quebec against the powerhouse Kitchener Hallman Twins — the three-time defending Canadian champions.
Zack worked five innings as Quebec knocked off Kitchener 5–2, handing the defending champs a loss to open their tournament.
Think about that for a second.
By 2011, Zack had already built one of the most remarkable résumés in the history of men’s fastpitch. He was already a Hall of Famer. Already an international icon. Already regarded as one of the greatest pitchers the game had ever produced.
And he was still taking the ball against the best teams in Canada — and winning.
There are great players.
There are legends.
And then there are those rare athletes whose names become permanently woven into the history of the sport.
Darren Zack is one of them. 🇨🇦🥎
