Good Sunday afternoon everyone.
I would like take this time to formally announce a pause for this season of training.
I have decided to take on a new fitness challenge. It will take up more energy than an average martial arts training. Therefore, rest is crucial. Multitasking is great it keeps us motivated but a good steady pace is better than burning ourselves out. Right?
What good is a tired horse?
My training philosophy goes like this;
"Train like a viking, think like a genius" give it all you got when you train, but be smart enough to balance all the necessary elements in your life including rest. Rest is very important. Don't kid yourselves though, training once a week and laying down on a couch lined with burgers and chips for 3 consecutive days....does not apply. Balance is key.
However, (seeing how I enjoy sharing whatever knowledge I have of self defense) if 4 or more of you would like to train please let me know, I will gladly set up a training. I would need a minimum of three days notice.
Also, I will be posting healthy food alternatives on the Team Freedom page to encourage a healthy lifestyle. We sometimes tend to stray from wholesome nutrition, a little nudge in the right direction always helps. Seeing that we are a team I invite you all to do the same.
