NEW SET TEACHER 💛
MEET MAËLLE THOMAS- TRAORÉ

Born and raised in Montreal, Maëlle has always cultivated a curiosity for movement – her diverse background includes dancing, climbing, running, and yoga…

However, her passion for pilates began with her love of the method and her desire to share it, she became a certified instructor on mat and apparatus with Ann McMillan Pilates.

Enthusiastic yet gentle, she pays particular attention to the precision and intention behind each movement.
As such, through breath and strengthening, Maëlle hopes to use pilates to support and guide towards a broader understanding of what living in our bodies could mean.

WE ARE THRILLED to have her be part of the SET team!

We often get asked by clients if they are ready to start taking intermediate level classes? ⁉️

First of all, there is often a misconception that beginner level classes are easy. That shouldn’t be the case! The difference between beginner and intermediate classes is that beginner exercises are simplified in the coordination and transitions are slower. The class should absolutely still be challenging and you should still be having a great workout.

➡️If you feel that you don’t need to take as much time between the exercises and know how to set up your machine and springs in an efficient way, talk to your teacher about going to the next level class!

➡️If you were a true beginner when you started your Pilates journey with us, we recommend you do at least 3 months of beginner classes or all level classes before integrating intermediate level classes.

We highly encourage that you level up when you feel ready. It is a great way to keep up your progress, challenge your body and get stronger!
