Meet Chloe! 🇦🇺✨

At just 12 years old, Chloe travelled all the way from Australia to join our Summer Intensive! Chloe normally trains at ABLAZE DANCE ACADEMY and we were so happy to welcome her to Montreal and into our studios. 🩰

Earlier this year, Chloe attended the Tanya Pearson Academy Summer Workshop, where she was awarded a partial scholarship to join our Summer Intensive.

We loved having you with us, Chloe! What an incredible journey — and what a joy to watch you train, dance, learn and grow. ❤️

Our Senior dancers had the fantastic opportunity to refine their technique with Ms. Lubica and work on classical repertoire such as Chopiniana & Don Q. Our Juniors focused on classical technique, pointe work and La Fille Mal Gardée with Mrs. Castro. 🩰

Our Seniors also explored contemporary skills with Domenico Ausilio 🇮🇹🇨🇦 , while our Juniors worked on contemporary choreography & conditioning with Mr. Castro.

✨ STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: ANNA ✨

Two years ago, Anna joined the Mont Royal Ballet Academy Professional Training Program after beginning her ballet journey with recreational classes at another school.

Since then, she has grown tremendously as a dancer — developing her technique through our Vaganova-based training while also exploring character, jazz, contemporary, strengthening and conditioning.

We are so proud to see Anna’s dedication, versatility and artistry continue to grow. 🩰

✨ Balanchine Technique & Repertoire – The American Way

We are proud to welcome Rainer Krenstetter, former Principal Dancer with the Miami City Ballet, for an exclusive master workshop at Mont Royal Ballet Academy.

Join internationally acclaimed Balanchine Style Specialist Rainer Krenstetter for an exclusive workshop exploring the unique artistry, musicality, speed, and precision that define this celebrated style.

📅 Saturday, August 8
🕚 11:00 AM – 2:15 PM

💲 Workshop Fee:
C$150 (taxes included)
MRB Students: C$100 (taxes included)

This immersive workshop includes:
• 2-hour Balanchine Technique Class
• 15-minute break
• 1-hour Authentic Balanchine Repertoire

Open to intermediate and advanced ballet students from all schools, and professional dancers. Intended for participants with serious classical ballet training.

In addition to this exclusive workshop, Rainer Krenstetter will be teaching daily at the Mont Royal Ballet Academy Summer Intensive (August 3–7), sharing the prestigious Vaganova method in which he received his formative ballet training before beginning his professional career.

Join our Sunday Company Style Class led by our Artistic Director Sandra Castro-Mühlbauer - a class designed for advanced students and professional dancers committed to refining their technique, artistry, musicality, and performance quality.

🌟 About Sandra Castro-Mühlbauer
Artistic Director of Mont Royal Ballet Academy (8th season) and Tutu Deluxe (10th season). Trained under First Soloist Karl Musil and Prima Ballerina Evelyn Teri at the Conservatory of Vienna, Sandra Castro-Mühlbauer is a former principal dancer, international guest artist, choreographer, and international adjudicator. Sandra has performed with the Vienna State Opera Ballet, Lalala Human Steps, the Slovak National Theatre, and the world-famous Lido de Paris, dancing leading roles in both the classical and contemporary repertoire. She is a Prix de Lausanne finalist, 1st Prize Winner at the Serge Lifar International Ballet Competition (Kyiv), 1st Prize Winner at the ÖTR Contest (Vienna), and 2nd Prize Winner at the Rudolf Nureyev International Ballet Competition (Budapest). Today, Sandra is dedicated to preparing the next generation of dancers for professional careers.

💙 This Company Class forms an essential part of the Upper School Professional Training Program curriculum at Mont Royal Ballet Academy. PTP students are welcome to wear any style of leotard with a short ballet skirt and any hairstyle of their choice, while maintaining a polished and professional appearance.
