🏒 Two Weeks of Incredible Hockey 🏒

To say we’re impressed would be an understatement—we are truly amazed by the talent we just witnessed! A massive THANK YOU to every player who hit the ice for the Thunderbirds U16AA Spring ID Camp. The skill and dedication on display over the last two weeks completely blew us away and made this camp absolutely unforgettable.

This year wasn't just good—it was historic. We officially hosted our largest ID camp ever, with over 70 athletes pushing the pace and raising the bar. To see that much talent in one place was a testament to the incredible future of hockey in our community.

To the players: Your grit, sportsmanship, and sheer skill were "next level." Every sprint, every save, and every goal showed us how much heart you have for this game. We are beyond grateful for the energy you brought to the ice; you’ve made us more excited than ever for the season ahead.

Please see the updated ice times and player lists below. We have been working hard to juggle everyone’s schedules to ensure that every player receives a minimum of 4 ice times, which includes the additional session we added on April 28th.

We truly appreciate your patience and flexibility as we worked through the logistics to accommodate everyone as best we can.

🏒 Huge Congratulations to the Saint John Vitos U16AAA! 🏆
Congrats to our friends in Saint John on an outstanding Maritime Championship win yesterday — what an incredible accomplishment! Winning in this league is no small feat, and this is a huge moment for U16AAA hockey in the province.

It’s exciting to see the growth of the game this year. With four U16AAA teams in the province heading into next season, the level of competition is only going to keep rising — and it’s shaping up to be a great year for U16 hockey in New Brunswick.

Enjoy the victory while it lasts, Vitos… because we’re already looking forward to returning the favour next year 😉

The Hockey ID Camp has been scheduled for the following dates and times at the Greenfoot Energy 4Plex (Moncton).

Camp Details:
• All players will receive 4 games, each 90 minutes in length.

🚨 Coaching Announcement 🚨

We’re excited to share some coaching updates for the Moncton Thunderbirds!
Returning behind the bench for his 4th season is Head Coach James Sanford, continuing to provide steady leadership and a strong vision for our program. Joining him once again is Assistant Coach Nathan Archibald, also back for his 4th season, bringing consistency, passion, and commitment to player development.

We’re also thrilled to welcome Joshua Moore as our new Associate Head Coach. Joshua brings 17 years of coaching experience and a proven track record of building competitive, hard‑nosed teams. During his three seasons with the HTHS Trojans, he helped guide the program to a Provincial Championship, setting a high standard for performance, accountability, and team culture.

A respected multi‑sport coach with strong ties to MMBA and Codiac Lacrosse, Joshua focuses on developing well‑rounded athletes who compete hard and lead the right way—both on and off the ice. As a former player who competed through the Senior level, he brings valuable insight and experience from every angle of the game.

Off the ice, Joshua is a leader in the Refrigeration and Gas industry, serving as Operations Manager for Carmichael Engineering, overseeing multiple branches across New Brunswick and PEI.
