Finally…

It’s been 6 weeks since our Tournament Win 🏆 at the PBLC Tournament in Moncton, where we were able to win the Open Division and finally bring home a Championship to Moncton!

Last night, we were able to all finally get together, family and friends and other longtime faithful members of Rehab1 Basketball, and celebrate that win, and it was an absolute blast💥!

It was showing rain in the forecast alll week but Mother Nature was kind to us and it was a day to remember! Special thanks and shout out again to our Players, Coaches, staff and Families for making it all happen!

It’s been 1 week and….
… still thinking about the fun weekend we had at the 2026 PBLC!

We decided to enter 4 Teams this year!! As the brand expands into different cities and our Rehab1 basketball community grows, it’s apparent that also the number of exceptional players increases.

This year in addition to the Rehab1 Elite Team (which is like our OG core Competition Team with players from Saint John and Moncton), we entered 2 more teams into the Open Division and 1 into the 40s.

Rehab1 Gunners: This Team was made up of players and friends from the Moncton Area - This well rounded Team made it to the QuarterFinals and had solid battles throughout the Tournament 👊🏼 Huge Shoutout for the grit and heart shown and it was an honour playing with you all.

Rehab1 Fury (shown in white jersey set): This was essentially our Saint John Representative Team and they definitely had a combination of high IQ players, rebounding and scoring. I know they are itching for another shot and they are hungry to return next year even better 👊🏼

Rehab1 Legends: Our 40+ Team with players from around the Maritimes! Led by Adrian Cruz and JM Gonzales, this Team had an rollercoaster tourney with their first 2 games lost by just 3pts: One by a buzzer be**er 3-pter (game1) and the other by a 3-pointer with 5secs left (game2). But our spirits were not completely broken and we battled back to take the final game of the round robin by 5pts after being down by as much as 16pts at one point. Great Tournament fellas ❤️🙏🏽

PBLC 2026 Championship Game Open Division 🔥

Rehab1 Elite (Moncton) vs Alapaap Allstars (Halifax)

After being down 59–53 with 3:34 left in the 4Q against the defending champs, Rehab1 Elite finishes the game with a 20–5 run to win it in OT and bring the championship back to Moncton 64–73 🏆

🏆 2026 PBLC Open Division Champions 🏆

Our basketball team, Rehab1 Elite, captured the 2026 PBLC (Pinoy Basketball League of Canada) Open Division Championship in Moncton yesterday, finishing on top of a highly competitive field that included nine other teams from across the Maritimes.

After winning our bracket, we advanced to the semifinals, where we defeated Jollitea Team from Richibucto in a hard-fought battle.

In the championship game, we faced the defending champions from Halifax, Alapaap All-Stars, in what was truly one of the most exciting PBLC finals in recent memory.

The game was a back-and-forth battle from start to finish, with the lead changing hands countless times.

In the fourth quarter, the crowd came alive, and the atmosphere inside the gym was absolutely electric. With just 3:30 remaining, Rehab1 Elite found ourselves down by six points. Both teams were in the bonus, and things weren’t looking promising—but our guys never stopped fighting.

With incredible team defense, key steals, and clutch baskets from Sebastian Navarro, Mythical5 Renly Lanz Bayquin, Tournament MVP Nikko Patio, and Johnny Kahal, we battled all the way back to tie the game and force overtime. The crowd was going absolutely crazy!

In overtime, Mythical5 Jherameel Rosario took over early with a huge three-pointer, followed by a hustle play that led to another basket. Our defense continued to lock in, and Caleb Velarde delivered the dagger with a fast-break layup to put us up by seven with just 1:45 remaining.

This championship has been a long time coming and represents a dream realized—bringing an Open Division championship home to Moncton for our community.

We accomplished what we set out to do. We are forever grateful, and we’ve created memories that will last a lifetime.

🙌🏽🏀 CONGRATS REHAB1 LEGENDS (Over 40 Team)

Thank you to the players who played hard all weekend for this Team - definitely memorable with that final game on Day 1 being down 14-16 points and coming back to win, as well as the two heart-breaking buzzer be**er losses 🤯

In the end we finished 3rd place in 2026 PBLC Tournament and that is something to be proud of as well as build on!!! 🥉🙏🏽
