Your body is NOT meant to be the same as when you were in highschool. We tend to forget that it’s normal to look different. We were still a kid!!!! And to compare our adult body to our kid body is silly

I’m adding an important note to say that I have thin privilege which means that my body is small enough that I don’t get judged for what I wear, I don’t get discriminated against, etc. It’s important to acknowledge that for people in bigger bodies, wearing whatever the f*ck they want can be more challenging as it can come with insults, discrimination, bullying and more. This video is about wearing what we want and also not judging others for what they wear regardless of their size!!!

Mind your plate.

Kind of like mind your fu***ng business but for food, because honestly food judgement is real, and with barbecues and get togethers kicking off this weekend remember it’s OKAY to remind people to ✨kindly✨ mind their own damn plate.

Many of you have heard these things your entire life. “Should you be eating that? ” or “Wow you must be hungry” when fixing a plate around family and friends.

What does this really accomplish?

Are you suddenly motivated to change how you are eating so the people around you accept you? Probably not.

More than likely, you feel ashamed, hungry and hyper aware of the food you’re eating… or not eating NOW. The SAME food that everyone else ISN’T being judged for eating. Get real.

You are allowed to eat the pie at the party.
Please fix yourself a plate.
Grab seconds if you are still hungry.

And remember you’re allowed to remind those who are more concerned with what YOU are eating than spending time with family and friends enjoying a meal together that it is WEIRD behavior.

Everybody eats.

For you, a person just trying to eat 3 + meals a day, nutrition shouldn’t be complicated. However, there’s a reason dietitians need to take chemistry, physiology, organic chem, biochemistry, etc before practicing in the field. In addition to the training they get to learn how to communicate that information in a safe and comprehensible way.

Before you take nutrition advice from someone, it’s always best to check to see if they are qualified to talk about nutrition! 🍋
