The Oakville Rangers Hockey Club is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Coach Marc Pinizzotto.
Today, our organization mourns the loss of a remarkable man who meant so much to so many. Marc was a beloved coach, mentor, friend, and role model whose impact reached far beyond the game of hockey.
For the young athletes he coached, Marc was someone they looked up to, trusted, and learned from. He cared deeply about every player. He invested his time, shared his knowledge, and led with kindness, patience, and integrity. The lessons he taught and the example he set will remain with his players for the rest of their lives.
Marc dedicated his life to serving others. As a Toronto Police Service officer for 18 years and a member of the Emergency Task Force, he served his community with extraordinary courage. Those same qualities defined him within the Rangers family.
The loss of Marc leaves a void that cannot be filled. Our hearts are with his family, friends, colleagues, players, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. We grieve alongside them and extend our deepest condolences to everyone affected.
Marc's legacy will live on in the countless young lives he helped shape, the relationships he built, and the example he set every day. He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered as an important part of the Oakville Rangers family.
We ask that the privacy of Marc's family and our hockey community be respected as we mourn this devastating loss.
