Akhara of Champions is an Olympic Wrestling Club located in the City of Mississauga,Ontario Canada. Led by head coach Ashok Kumar, this club houses some of the best wrestlers in the country and represent Canada at the World level. Ashok Kumar began wrestling at the age of 8 in India, and competed in many international competitions including the 1980 Moscow Olympics. After coming to Canada and coaching in some of the local clubs for several years, Ashok decided to make the move to open up his own club with the support of his family in 2009, and has been running an award winning establishment since.
