Sensei Zbigniew Koszela is a highly respected Kyokushin Karate instructor based in Mississauga, Ontario with more than 30 years of experience in Karate and Kickboxing.
A 4th Dan black belt, Sensei Zbigniew has dedicated decades to full-contact martial arts training, competition, conditioning, and traditional Kyokushin Karate.
He is internationally recognized as one of the very few martial artists in the world to successfully complete the legendary 100-Man Kumite (Hyakunin Kumite) — one of the most physically and mentally demanding tests in all of martial arts. The challenge consists of 100 consecutive full-contact fights against fresh opponents and is considered one of the greatest achievements in Kyokushin Karate. Sensei Zbigniew completed the 100-Man Kumite in Canada on November 16, 2003.
Sensei Zbigniew is also listed through the official World Karate Organization (WKO) as a Kyokushin 4th Dan instructor in Mississauga, Ontario.
Throughout his martial arts career, he has been recognized for his discipline, conditioning, fighting spirit, and dedication to traditional Kyokushin values. Older martial arts publications and seminar profiles also describe him as a former kickboxing competitor with professional fight experience and a two-time American Kyokushin champion.
Today, Sensei Zbigniew teaches authentic Kyokushin Karate at ZGRVTY Martial Arts & Fitness in Mississauga, where students train through intense conditioning, full-contact sparring, discipline, and traditional karate methods designed to build confidence, resilience, and mental toughness.
Outside of martial arts, Sensei Zbigniew has also dedicated his life to serving the community through his work as a firefighter — bringing the same discipline, courage, and commitment that he teaches on the mats every day.
