Throughout the next several weeks, BC Hockey will be announcing the recipients of the 2026 BC Hockey Awards!

These annual awards honour exceptional members across B.C. and Yukon who have made significant contributions to the development and success of hockey at their local rinks and beyond!

BC Hockey’s 2026 Development Award – Coaching goes to Mission Minor Hockey Association’s Doug Bodner!

At 72 years of age, Bodner has seen and experienced it all throughout his career of coaching and mentoring. This year, he is being recognized for the work he’s done by receiving BC Hockey’s Development Award - Coaching, for outstanding service by a volunteer.
