As we get ready for the 9th Annual JRK Tournament, we’d like to take a moment to remember what this weekend is really about.
JRK is about more than hockey. It’s about remembering Joe Kellington, keeping his memory alive, and bringing people together through the game he loved.
A special thank you to Joe’s close friends and family. While many of Joe’s friends have come and gone over the years, these individuals have been here since Day One and have never missed a tournament:
Max Kellington, Steven Bryson, Steven Fosty, Bryce Steele, Jamie & Jake Housch, Billy Teindl, Gordy Cameron, Cale Adams, Nick Malinsky, Matt Partridge, Nick MacDonald, and Adam Philps. Your loyalty and support mean more than words can say.
Thank you to our returning teams—Top Cheddar, Dynamiters, Dozers, Knights, and Hounds—for continuing to support this event year after year. To our first-year teams, welcome to the JRK family. We hope this is the first of many.
Finally, thank you to everyone who comes to the rink. The players, volunteers, families, and fans are what make this tournament so special.
