WHAT DOES A SEASON WITH MISSION RACERS LOOK LIKE?

It’s more than skating fast.

It’s learning something new.
It’s getting stronger and more confident.
It’s making friends.
It’s cheering for your teammates.
It’s working toward a goal.
It’s celebrating a new personal best.
And yes… it’s going FAST around the ice!

We welcome all abilities, and competitions are optional. Whether your child wants to race or simply learn a new sport and have fun, there’s a place for them at Mission Racers.

Registration is open for the 2026–27 season.
First practice: September 8.

THINK SPEED SKATING LOOKS INTIMIDATING?

We get it. There are helmets, suits, sharp blades and some seriously fast skating!

But here’s the secret: you don’t have to be fast to start.

Some of our skaters joined Mission Racers having never been on skates before. They learned the basics, gained confidence, made friends and eventually found their speed.

No experience is required. All abilities are welcome, and we provide the equipment needed to get started.

Your child just needs to be willing to give it a try.

Registration is open now, with our first practice on September 8.

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! ⛸️

Ready for a new season of FAST, FUN skating?

Mission Racers Speed Skating Club is welcoming new and returning skaters for the 2026–27 season!

Whether your child has been skating for years or has never been on skates before, they’re welcome here. We provide the skates and equipment needed to get started, and our program is open to all abilities.

Practices are Tuesdays and Thursdays, with competitions on weekends throughout the season for those who want to race.

Our first practice is September 8, so now is the perfect time to get registered!

We are so proud to celebrate our coach, Bruce Wenting 💙

Bruce was recognized with a Special Accomplishment Award at the Community Service Awards, honouring over 20 years of incredible volunteerism and commitment to our club and community.

His impact goes far beyond the ice—supporting young athletes, building confidence, and creating a space where everyone belongs.

Last practice of the season is Thursday, March 12! ⛸️

We’ll be finishing the season with a fun wrap-up skate including games and a few mock races. Junior skaters are welcome to stay later, and senior skaters can early so everyone can take part in the fun together.

Feel free to bring a treat to share if you’d like.

A huge thank you to all of our skaters, parents, volunteers, and coaches for an incredible season. This club truly runs on the generosity and community spirit of everyone involved, and we couldn’t do it without you. 💙

We’re looking forward to celebrating the season together on the ice, and we hope to see everyone back for another great season in the fall! 🍂⛸️
