As the last day of the provincial tournament winds down, we would like to thank everyone who helped make this weekend possible. Thank you to the coaches, the parents, the players, family members, fans, friends, Lauren for all of her baked goods, Dean for live streaming, our timekeepers Grady, Cooper and Gavin, Andy Hardy, the students from JMH Leadership class, Paddy Quinn, Aaron Spencer, Miramichi Minor Hockey, Hockey NB, the McFarlane’s, the Wild Black, and to all of our sponsors. With an extra special thank you to Paulin and BSA Seafoods and the City of Miramichi. Without you, it wouldn’t be possible to hold such an awesome event. 🥰 We got so much feedback on how well everything was set up and run and how well our boys presented themselves on and off the ice. Our boys went 0-1-2, not qualifying to move on in the semis but they played their hearts out and had fun. Good luck to all teams moving on and we hope you visit our beautiful city again. 🏒🥅

Day 2 of our Provincial tournament is here. The rink will be buzzing with teams starting to play at 10:00. Your BSA Seafoods Wild Red are currently sitting with a 0-1-1 record and today, they look for their first tournament win when they face the KV Hawks at 4:00. The first game of Provincials, against the BSA Seafoods Wild Red and Sackville Legionnaire Rangers ended in a hard fought tie, 2-2. Player of the game for the Wild was Julien Martin and for the Legionnaire Rangers was Jacob Sears. The Evan McFarlane Grinder for the Wild was Oliver Areseneault and Joshua Mullin for the Legionnaire Rangers.

Our Provincial weekend has finally arrived and we are hoping our community comes out to cheer us on. The top 8 U15 A teams from around the province are here. We are looking for a successful weekend with lots of fan support. Admission is free because of the the help of many community sponsors. The BSA Seafoods Wild Red kick off the tournament at 10:00 where they face the Sackville Legionnaire Rangers. They also play again at 6:00. Be sure to come early for our opening ceremonies at 5:45 pm. We would like a big crowd as we are honouring the late Evan McFarlane as part of the celebration before we take on Grand Falls. For those teams visiting our city this weekend for provincials and need skates sharpened, you can visit Sport Chek in Douglastown or visit Hecty’s Skate Sharpening, also located in Douglastown. Sport Chek is open Friday 10:00-8:00, Saturday 10:00-6:00 and Sunday 12:00-5:00. Hecty’s is open Saturday and Sunday from 9:00am-12:00pm.

Games begin at 10:00 on Friday, where you’ll find your U15 BSA Seafoods Wild Red take on the Sackville Legionnaire Rangers. The other teams from around the province include:
