Superbe journée au Complexe ICAR hier🏁
Dès la séance d’essais matinale, la voiture TansGestion #88 piloté par Simon Charbonneau s’est imposée en allant chercher le 8e chrono!
Lors des qualifications, c’est le 10e temps que Simon a enregistré.
Tout au long de la course, Simon s’est maintenue entre la 8 et la 11 position. Une stratégie sur un long relais à été envisagée par l’équipe, mais les multiples neutralisations sont venues gêner la remontée espérée. Malgré tout, lors de la dernière relance, à cinq tours de la fin, Simon se battait pour la 9e place. Après une belle lutte avec un compétiteur, il a été contraint de mettre 4 roues hors piste à la chicane au dernier tour. Il a néanmoins terminé 10e avant d’écoper d’une pénalité qui l’a repoussé au 15e rang.
L’équipe Eighty8 Racing sera de retour en piste le week-end prochain au Canadian Tire Motorsport Park pour la dernière épreuve sur circuit routier de la saison. 🏁

Amazing day yesterday at Complexe ICAR 🏁
Right from the morning practice session, the TansGestion #88 car made its mark by setting the 8th fastest time!
In qualifying, Simon secured the 10th spot.
Throughout the race, Simon held steady between 8th and 11th place. The team considered a long run strategy, but multiple cautions disrupted the expected climb through the field. Still, on the final restart with five laps to go, Simon was battling for 9th. After a fierce fight with another competitor, he was forced to put all four wheels off track at the chicane on the last lap. He crossed the line in 10th but received a penalty that dropped him to 15th.
Eighty8 Racing will be back on track next weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the final road course race of the season. 🏁
