All of the 50km runners this year demonstrated resilience, and by all accounts they enjoyed the challenge of running from daylight into the darkness. A special shoutout to fellow race director, Kurt Gumushel, the final male finisher of the 50km in just over 9 hours. Also to brothers Desmond and Michael Simon, the final athletes on the course, who DNFd after loop four but completed 40km together and had an incredible attitude throughout. Thanks for showing us all what's possible when you are willing to try!
