Highland Storm Minor Hockey This page is designed to communicate the Highland Storm Minor Hockey Association stories, schedules and events to the players and their families.

Highland Storm's page is intended as a positive information sharing and communication medium. It is meant to celebrate minor hockey in Haliburton County and help families and children, in particular, play and enjoy everything hockey has to offer. It can also help sponsors of the game get some recognition for helping kids play hockey.

🏒 HIGHLAND STORM LOCAL LEAGUE REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! 🏒

Registration is now open for the 2026-27 Highland Storm season.

📅 Register by July 15, 2026

Please register before the deadline so we can secure the appropriate amount of ice time and finalize team planning. Registrations received after July 15 are not guaranteed a spot and will be subject to a $100 late fee.

🥅 PROGRAM OPTIONS:

🔹 U7 Timbits (1st Year) – $200
• Ideal for first-time players
• Learn the fundamentals of hockey in a fun environment

🔹 U7 Timbits (Year 2/3) – $400
• Development-focused program
• No travel or league play

🔹 U7 Local League – $550
• Three County League participation
• Approximately 20+ games
• Additional development skates

🔹 U9 Local League – $775
• Three County League participation
• Approximately 20+ games
• Year-end tournament
• Goalie equipment assistance available
• Additional development skates

🔹 U11 Local League – $775
• Approximately 24+ games
• One home tournament
• Three County League participation
• Goalies: $387.50
• Additional development skates

🔹 U13 Local League – $775
• Approximately 24+ games
• One home tournament
• Three County League participation
• Goalies: $387.50
• Additional development skates

🔹 U15 Local League – $825
• Approximately 24+ games
• One home tournament
• Three County League participation
• Goalies: $412.50
• Additional development skates

🔹 U18 Local League – $825
• Approximately 24+ games
• One home tournament
• Three County League participation
• Goalies: $412.50
• Additional development skates

🏒 Local League teams may also choose to attend additional out-of-town tournaments throughout the season.

🏒❤️ What a way to celebrate an unforgettable season.

This past Saturday, our U15 Rep Cheryl Smith RE/MAX team had the incredible honour of attending the OMHA Evening of Champions at the Hockey Hall of Fame after earning our Red Hats as OMHA Champions.

To walk through the Hockey Hall of Fame… surrounded by the history of the game we all love… was something truly special. And of course, getting the opportunity to take a team photo with the Stanley Cup made the night one these players will never forget. 🏆

This group represented Highland Storm, Haliburton County, and our community with so much pride all season long. The friendships, memories, hard work, and dedication that brought this team together are what hockey is all about.

🙏 A huge thank you to the OMHA and Hockey Hall of Fame for an amazing evening celebrating championship teams from across Ontario.

All REP players participating in tryouts will attend a minimum of 2 skates.

📌 No player movement information will be posted to the website team pages until after the completion of the second skate.
📌 Updates will be posted within 4 hours following the end of the second skate.

Players moving forward will be posted using Hockey Canada Registration Numbers (HCR #) only.

To find your player’s HCR number through Spordle:

1️⃣ Log into your Spordle Account
2️⃣ Click on your player’s profile
3️⃣ Go to “Memberships” / “Qualifications”
4️⃣ Your player’s Hockey Canada Registration Number (HCR #) will be listed there
