Self care looks different for each of us but it is so important ...
When I asked a few friends what they do to reduce stress, there was a whole range of answers.
Read a book, take a nap, relax with a tea, sing, learn something new, call a friend, exercise, dance 💃, write in a journal, clear clutter, call a friend ... there are so many things you can do. I’m sure you can add a whole lot more to this list.
I’ve always found moving my body to be at the top of my list...
Sweat is the secret sauce 💦
Getting your blood moving, really sweating, challenging yourself, setting personal goals and reaching them, making yourself proud of you. Knowing what you are doing is good for you mentally and physically. There are so many benefits to moving your body.
I still find it hard to get my motivation up every day to do it but I know how important it is and I’ve found things that help me find that motivation.
Find what’s works for you and keep going. For me, a sense of community and working towards goals with others has been a huge help especially over the last 8 months. I didn’t realize how much I relied on this virtual community until this Pandemic hit (is hit the right word?? 🤷♀️).
As we go back into lockdown, find what works for you and try to stay consistent. Set small achievable goals. It’s never too late to start.
If you need ideas, some sample workouts to try or just a community to be part of to learn about nutrition and get some healthy recipes, reach out.
Find something ... find something that works for you 💕 it is so important though the craziness of this pandemic, not only for our physical health but also for our mental health. The daily connection with the others in my group has been life changing for many of us.
If you want more information on the community I have and the programs we do, comment below or message me privately.
