Barn renovations complete (after months of work.) Walls parged and painted, windows caulked and painted and loose boards nailed secure. During painting noticed the initials "AA" scratched in one of the foundation stones. The original Homesteaders were Anderson's so chances are sometime circa 1850 A. And then there were two. Sadly this winter we lost our beloved barn cat "Smokey," but all the more treats and attention for the remaining two. Here Tyronne (the black cat) looks like a Maude Lewis subject while they perch on the barn door.
