🏒 Help Put Hockey Within Reach for Indigenous Youth! 🧡
We’re collecting new and gently used hockey equipment to help Indigenous youth get on the ice and experience the game we all love.
📅 Date: Saturday, September 19
🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📍 Location: Milton Sports Centre
We are accepting:
✔️ Hockey sticks
✔️ Shin pads
✔️ Pants
✔️ Gloves
✔️ Helmets
✔️ Shoulder pads
✔️ Elbow pads
✔️ Skates
✔️ Hockey bags
✔️ Goalie equipment
Please do not donate:

❌ Undergarments
❌ Neck guards
❌ Jocks
Every piece of equipment helps remove barriers and creates opportunities for Indigenous youth to build confidence, make friendships, and enjoy Canada’s game.

🏒🥇 Olympic Gold Medalist is Coaching the Next Generation! 🥇🏒
MMHA is beyond excited to announce our U7MD coaching team for the upcoming season: Tessa Bonhomme and Eddie Fiore!
Tessa is a former Canadian professional hockey player, TSN sports reporter, and Olympic Gold Medalist, having helped Team Canada capture gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She also played professionally with the Toronto Furies in the Canadian Women’s Hockey League.
Joining her behind the bench is her husband, Eddie Fiore, who played in the OPJHL. Together, this dynamic coaching duo is committed to creating a safe, fun, and positive environment where young players can build friendships, gain confidence, develop their skills, and most importantly—fall in love with the game of hockey. ❤️🏒
This marks their second season with MMHA’s U7MD program after leading player development and practices last season. Their passion for the game and dedication to youth hockey continue to make a lasting impact on our youngest Winterhawks.
Please join us in giving a warm welcome back to Coaches Tessa & Eddie! We can’t wait to see the incredible season ahead.
