Do you have some kids needing Volunteer hours? GBI and our Gold Sponsor Canadian Tire Midland have an opportunity for you!

June is jumpstart month! CT Midland is hosting a BBQ to raise money for Jumpstart which directly helps kids in our North Simcoe community and a program that supports hockey directly! We need Georgian Bay Islanders players helping with the BBQ this year!
CT Midland will be hosting it Saturday June 20, 2026 from 12pm-6pm. We require some players helping to ask if people want to take a ticket to purchase a $5.00 hot dog combo at cash in the store. Then have some players outside at the BBQ helping to take cash, hand out food etc. We would love GBI representation (with GBI swag) to be available to help with the BBQ that day.

A huge congratulations to Stuart DeMunnik, another local player on being selected by the London Knights in the OHL Draft!

Stuart’s selection is the result of years of dedication, determination, and countless hours spent developing his game. This milestone is a reflection of the effort he has put in both on and off the ice.

🏒 GBI Coaches and Managers Kick-Off Meeting 🏒

Our GBI board of directors, coaches and managers gathered last night to align on strategies and priorities for the upcoming season.

It was a great opportunity for returning coaches to share their experiences and insights with those joining our program, helping to build a strong foundation for the year ahead. Most importantly, everyone left united in their commitment to the values, culture, and vision of Georgian Bay Minor Hockey.

We are excited for the season ahead and look forward to providing a positive, development-focused experience for all of our players.
