Georgian Bay Rowing Club This club has offered the sport of rowing to the communities of Midland, Penetanguishene and surrounding areas for the last 25 years.

Whether members have competitive aspirations or want to to row leisurely, the Georgian Bay Rowing Club has something to offer everyone. Rowing is one of the best all-round exercises. It uses all major muscle groups and is low impact. As a sport, it can be enjoyed individually or as a team. The Georgian Bay Rowing Club conducts its activities on Midland’s Little Lake. This lake is large enough to a

ccommodate a 1200 metre racing course and is small enough that waves are seldom a problem. The club’s fleet includes sculling boats (rowers have two oars each) and sweep boats (rowers use one oar each).

Spring is finally here and the docks are going in at Little Lake this Saturday April 19. Join us at 9:00am for the annual opening of the club, launching of the docks, and welcoming of a new rowing season. Many hands make for lighter work, so come down this Saturday to help start the season right!
