Karmat Training Inc. - Firearm Safety Courses This page is designed for anyone wanting to take their Possession and Acquisition Licence or anyone who has questions in regards to taking the course~

Due to the changes in Bill C42 there will be no more combined classes or Challenges! Non-Restricted Course: This 8 hour course is for the firearms novice. (Starts at 9:00am)

Once you pass this course, you may apply for a “NON-RESTRICTED” Firearms license. It is specifically designed to progress at a reasonable pace to allow someone with limited or no prior firearms experience to successfully pass

the government approved tests (taken the same day). It is also appropriate for a minor who wishes to get a “minor’s firearms permit.” We also feel it is appropriate if English is not your first language, regardless of your prior experience. COURSE CONTENT

Basic safety practices
Ammunition
Operating actions
Safe handling and carry procedures
Firing techniques and procedures
Care
Responsibilities of the owner/user
Safe storage, display, transportation and handling of non-restricted and Restricted firearms actions

Must provide 48 hours’ notice to cancel or re-book. Cost: $150

safety course fees include all books and training materials required. Minors are allowed as well for Non restricted only. $150

Restricted Course

This 4-6 hour course is taken AFTER you have already successfully taken the non-restricted course as it continues on where the non-restricted course stopped. This is the course that you will require to apply for the “restricted” portion of a license. Most people take this course the day after they take the non-restricted course so that they may apply for both categories immediately. Must provide 48 hours’ notice to re-book.(NO REFUNDS)

Cost: $100-150

**All Deposits are Non refundable but are transferable to another upcoming course within 3 months so long as arrangements have been made. Any no shows will automatically lose their deposits**

Statement of Forfeit of Funds

This notice confirms that the payment made for the Fi****ms Safety Course has been forfeited due to a failure to attend the scheduled course without any prior notice. As outlined in our policy, advance payment is required because scheduling this course requires cancelling other work commitments and reserving dedicated time and resources.

When a participant does not show up and provides no notice, the reserved spot cannot be filled, resulting in lost time and income. For this reason, the payment is non-refundable and has been forfeited.

If you wish to register for a future course, a new payment will be required.

It's with a heavy heart that I have to announce the closing of Canadian GunHub. Rocky made the hard choice to lock the doors permanently on Monday. I worked alongside with him for 7.5 years and he was family and the range was my second home. I will still be teaching courses but no longer thru gunhub. If you or anyone you know wants the course, throw me a message. I am available most days and evenings. Thank you to everyone who helped support us for so long! ❤️

One of the most commons questions I get asked.. "HOW DO I CHANGE MY MAILING ADRESS?"
Option 1: Call 1-800-731-4000

Option 2: Go to the RCMP Fi****ms Individual Web Services website.
Select "Sign in to access Individual Web Services" button.
Choose a secure Sign-In Method
Select the "Continue to Sign-In Partner" or "Continue to GC Key" button.
Once logged in, select the "Licence Holder" button.
Enter in your details and click the "Continue" button.
Enter the email address you'd like for the Canadian Fi****ms Program to use to communicate with you and select the "Continue" button.
Go to the "Update your Contact Information" section.
Review the residential and mailing addresses on file for your licence to ensure they are correct and current. You can make any necessary corrections using the links below each address.
When you are happy with the changes, be sure to sign out of your account by clicking the "Sign out" button at the top of the page.

May dates are now available to book non restricted or restricted courses. If you are on the fence about it, don't be! Now is the time to get it and if your wondering about restricted, definitely get it! The government can reclassify any non restricted at any given time. ITS NOT JUST ABOUT HANDGUNS ANYMORE!! Any questions, please ask!
