Handsome certainly enjoys being the lead but a few things had to come together before this actually felt fun for me too - key factor 🤣
➡️ His balance downhill’s especially, he did trip and fall down early in his training and had a to run forward downhill instead of setting himself back which gave me the heebie jeebies, because small horses go down like lawn darts no delay time like taller one 🤣😬
➡️ Navigating riding in the tall grass that’s basically up to his mouth for most of it - so learning to have appropriate snack privileges - because he certainly brings the ‘pony’ characteristics of the term ‘cow pony’
➡️ Neck reining well enough to hold Sammy with the other hand and being able to handle the push and pull of Sammy being the bigger horse
➡️ Knowing he’s going to be ok with traffic, cows, deer without having additional company, plus knowing Sammy is generally better too helps a lot
