So many of our friends are Kollectiv friends, so it's pretty amazing seeing what y'all did at spin donations on Friday. Sabrina graciously shared a portion of these donations for our team to use strategically yesterday. The rest went to other teams to use.

So.....if your heart is warmed by more than ☕️ this morning, it's because you did great things for families in MH and improving access to food safety, security and equity.

This is todays 50/50 winner. A huge congratulations to Karalee Kambeitz for taking home a prize of $2150! Thank you to everyone who supported the 50/50 we raised a ton of money to support the work we do at the Root Cellar! Thank you!

Wow! What a day. The first annual race for hunger was an incredible success. All the teams did so amazing and worked incredibly hard working through all of the challenges we set for them.

Congratulations to every team for finishing the race and a special congratulations to the Badlands Training Centre bandits who came in third, the South Country Co-op comets who came in second and our first place team, team Crew

We are incredibly humbled and grateful for each and every person who supported this race in any way big or small. Together we raised an impressive $33,336.36 to support families in our community! THANK YOU ❤️

Wellll.. it's a wrap.. we ended up in 4th place! Our thoughts on the experience.

♥️Our team was one of the few that followed the rules and course as laid out. Unfortunately running for charity and cash means folks may bend the rules in their favor often.....
♥️We were so fast that the legs were not ready for us... which meant lots of water breaks and waiting... very refreshing in this 🌞
♥️Because the race went faster than expected... the road blocks and freezes were not initiated at all the legs... so some twists and turns and delays ensued ... and we had donated money left to "spend"...
♥️We met beautiful people along the course who love this community and creating better social systems
♥️ We are strong... we put on 2 semi tires... without help.... just muscle and grit
♥️Ol' Latino Heat Sandra Martinez conquered new tasks with kayaking with a fludder board!!
♥️It takes total courage for a non profit to think outside the 📦 and get creative with fundraising after a virtual world of limited revenue generation for 2+ years! And... there are always kinks Year 1.
♥️It takes a community to bring awareness, it takes community to raise money for important charities and it takes a community of caring to sustain that. This community raised $33K today... and each of you contributed to the staggering and better then expected total!!
♥️Raise of Sunshine raised over 10% of that total...little ol' us and ALL of YOU! We raised $3500 and change, making us number 1️⃣☝️fundraising team!!!!!

We're working to end hunger. The Medicine Hat Food Bank's mission is to work collaboratively in the community and surrounding area to ensure an adequate and accessible food support system is available to individuals and families in need.

Hey Beautiful People. A lil' update..

1. We got our funds in to the Root Cellar... and identified how we want to "spend" it on Saturday.
2. We are super pumped to share with you the total 💰 we raised...Friday after 🍽 on the page.
3. We are even more excited on drawing names for the ⬛️ Draw and 💆‍♀️ on Friday!!!!

Want to still support but didn't get a chance?
1. Pledge by 📱 on Race Day (Saturday....) and freeze other teams during 🦵 of the race.
