I’m grateful for the opportunity to join the Canter Therapy Podcast for a conversation that explores what has shaped my approach to horses, people, and life.
One of the biggest shifts in my own journey was learning to see behaviour differently not as the problem itself, but as a reflection of something deeper going on for the horse.
In this episode, we talk about the difference between lightness and softness, how tension influences movement and soundness, and why what we’re seeing on the surface is often just the symptom.
We also explore the ideas of Mind, Space, and Pressure, and how understanding these needs can change not only behaviour, but a horse’s confidence, biomechanics, and overall well-being.
This conversation goes beyond horsemanship techniques, t’s about leadership, awareness, and the responsibility we carry to create clarity and understanding for our horses.
Have a listen and let me know what resonates with you.
