Meadow Lake Rugby Club Meadow Lake Junior Girls' Rugby, aka "SheDevils.” The boys team are known as El Diablos. SheDevils are a junior ladies team, registered with Sask. Rugby Union.

El Diablos are the the boys rugby program. Both teams travel throughout Saskatchewan, with tours into Alberta and B.C. Together, these teams make up the biggest rugby program in Saskatchewan. Coaches: Rufus Crawford and Ashley Albert

Some coach highlights of the weekend.

Rufas wore many hats this weekend not just coach and coordinator but our main referee as well. Although he has lost his speed over the years he is the most fair ref you will find. He is great at reffing because he slows the game and explains why calls are made. Not only a great ref but a consistent teacher.

In the final Highway to Hell cup the elite Norte Dame Hounds played 7 of their u18 athletes against 10 SheDevils athletes, 5 Hound athletes and two coaches. The U18s won the cup even though Coach Beaulac and Coach Ashley lite up the field.

A senior from our boys team (Owen) took the younger athletes and helped them all weekend. Even though he couldn’t play he still supported his team mates with a big smile on his face.

Coach James was a fantastic photographer all weekend as well as coached the u13 athletes.
Coach Melinda stepped up for the u13 athletes as well bringing her positive attitude.
Coach Claire took on organizing the event and did a great job at scheduling volunteers, cooking, and overseeing.
