Whether you’re a former player, coach, football fan, parent, or simply someone looking to get involved in the game, officiating is a great way to support local student-athletes while earning extra income.

Congrats Noah on this very well earned award!

Congratulations to Noah Cappelle on receiving the prestigious Junior Citizen of the Year Award.

The Junior Citizen of the Year Award was established in 1976 and has been presented to over 180
Saskatchewan youth. The program is sponsored by the Saskatchewan Weekly Newspapers
Association in partnership with SaskPower and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of
Saskatchewan.

Since its creation, the Junior Citizen of the Year award has been presented to Saskatchewan youth who have a positive lifestyle, volunteer within their community and school, have overcome a personal life challenge, have a strong sense of caring and responsibility, and are between the ages of 8 and 18.

Four award recipients are chosen each year to receive a $3,000 bursary provided by SaskPower.

Thank you to the SGI Wing Team, the Meadow Lake Legion Br. 76, and everyone who came out to support us!

The SGI Wing Team cooked wings on Friday and sold 131 orders of wings for a total of $1310.00 to be donated to the Carpenter High School Football Team!
