Nighthawk Outfitters provide quality guided black bear hunts in the Matheson area located in the heart of Northern Ontario Black Bear Country. Your host and guide is Gary Couillard a retired Ontario Conservation Officer who has been guiding since 2007. If you are in Law Enforcement or are just looking for an honest, reliable, law abiding outfitter you are at the right place. We are located on High

way 101 about half way between Matheson and Timmins. You will be staying at a cabin at our home property on beautiful Reid Lake. Your group will be the only group being guided for the duration of your stay. This ensures personal service to meet your needs. We are licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources to provide exclusive black bear guiding services to non-resident hunters on four Bear Management Areas totaling 293 square kilometers of Crown Land. All of the hunting areas are less than thirty minutes from the cabin ensuring that you spend time hunting not driving to and from your hunting areas. We start baiting our sites early to make sure that the bears include them in there feeding routine. The sites are monitored with game cameras to determine how many and the size and s*x of the bears visiting the site. As a rule there are multiple bears visiting each site. Most of the bait sites are equipped with ladder stands that are set up for a twenty yard shot. We also have a selection of hanging stands and pop up blinds for your use. Of course if you wish to bring you own equipment we will be happy to accommodate you. Included in your hunt is a boat and motor with unlimited gas. Be sure to bring your favorite rod and reel to take on the Northern Pike and Walleye found on your doorstep in Reid Lake.

Here is the latest information on the border opening for US citizens entering Canada.
Beginning August 9, fully vaccinated citizens and permanent residents of the United States currently residing in the US will be permitted to enter Canada. Entry to Canada will continue to be prohibited for all foreign travelers who are not fully vaccinated. All fully vaccinated American citizens and permanent residents must have received the full series of a vaccine -- or combination of vaccines -- accepted by the Canadian government at least 14 days prior to entering Canada. Currently, those vaccines are manufactured by Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson. Travelers must provide proof they have been vaccinated. All travelers coming into Canada, regardless of vaccine status, will need a negative PCR or molecular test within 72 hours of requesting entry, fully vaccinated travelers will not need a post-arrival test unless they have been randomly selected at the port of entry to complete a Covid-19 molecular test.
