We are looking for someone with experience teaching tykes/novice age children the game of hockey to volunteer this upcoming hockey season one night per week to teach hockey. This person will be required to provide a vulnerable sector check and a letter for such can be provided by the Parks and Recreation Coordinator. The Parks and Recreation Department is in search of someone willing to volunteer an hour per week this Ice season to run a figure skating club. It won't be an official Skate Canada league but more for local Skaters to practice and hon in their skills. This individual would mainly be responsibly for supervision and to help the skaters hon in their skills. Experience with Figure skating is a must! They would be required to have a vulnerable sector check (VSC) completed and a letter can be obtained for a VSC by the Parks and Recreation department. T-Ball will be cancelled tonight due to the weather. Infield is very wet and muddy, with more rain/thunderstorms expected this evening.

The Parks & Recreation Committee is interested in enhancing the Canada Day activities across the Township with the help of community groups, local businesses and Township residents. Send us your activity ideas and suggested donations (cash, in-kind, volunteer efforts) to [email protected] or by phone at 705-865-2519.

We’re willing to have the Massey District Community Centre grounds and building available rain or shine, tell us how to utilize it. Activities would NOT commence until AFTER The Legion’s Mouth Park events and end at least an hour before the fireworks show in Webbwood.
