This Saturday May 31st, Jordin Henwood from MMA World Academy will be leading a FREE self-defense workshop in the Fitness Studio from 8:30-9:30 pm. Drop in on Saturday for an amazing and technical workout you don’t want to miss out on!

This year the Amazing Race has taken up the theme "Healthy Living", including both active lifestyle and healthy eating. Thus we thought YMCA would be a perfect partner for us. The purpose of the Amazing Race is not only to give high school students the opportunity to have fun and engage in healthy competition with other fellow students, but also we raise over $1500 each year to a charity of choice (Each pair of contestants will need to raise a minimum of $100 in order to compete). This year MYTF have decided to donate our funds to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The race itself will happen on Sunday, April 27 starting at 9:00AM to roughly 5:00PM!

The Mayor's Youth Task Force will be partnering with the Markham YMCA Youth Advisory Council to facilitate the event!
