You’re not perfect and you don’t need to be! This is a long read but I think alot of ladies need this msg 💕
I will apologize for my swearing 🤬 from now I have a salty mouth, forgive me
Girl. THIS. Every damn word. ❤️
And you said something that I think so many of us need to hear: perfection can be our biggest attribute AND our biggest downfall.
Because we are so damn driven to do better, be better, look better, perform better, that sometimes we forget one very important thing… we were born amazing. We were never born perfect.
And honestly? Every beast you see in that gym has a story. Every strong woman, every person pushing through another rep, every person rebuilding after an injury, heartbreak, trauma, loss, disappointment… there is a reason they’re there.
They’re not all there trying to fit into a size 5 jean.
It’s so much fu***ng bigger than that.
They’re there because somewhere along the way, they realized they were worth fighting for.
And THAT’S why I will forever say showing up is where it counts.
Stop looking at a 30-minute workout and calling it a failure because you didn’t do your full session.
Stop saying, “Life was lifing and I couldn’t make it” like you failed.
Sometimes showing up for 20 minutes IS the win. Sometimes getting through the door IS the victory. Sometimes choosing yourself when everything around you is falling apart is the strongest thing you could have done that day.
We have to stop measuring our worth by our perfect days.
Because perfection is bu****it. 😂
Give me the woman who keeps showing up imperfectly. Give me the woman who gets knocked down and says, “Okay… what now?” Give me the woman who is still healing, still learning, still figuring her s**t out but refuses to quit on herself.
THAT is strength.
And I absolutely love what you said about authenticity, vulnerability and forgiveness because we need to give ourselves the same grace we so freely give everyone else.
So know who the f**k you are.
Not who the mirror says you are.
Not what the scale says.
Not what your PR says.
Not what your clothes say.
Not what anybody else thinks you should be.
YOU.
Raise your damn crown. 👑
Flex that bicep.
Take up space.
Show up messy.
Show up tired.
Show up imperfect.
And then keep fu***ng going.
Because the goal was never to become perfect.
The goal is to become unapologetically YOU.
